VisionGate interface — facial recognition access control that runs in a browser
Interface rendering of VisionGate, produced from the system's real screen architecture. The live installation sits behind client authentication.

Overview

A progressive web app performing fast, accurate facial recognition for site access — enrolment, live matching and a decision the gate operator can see and act on immediately.

The problem

Access control hardware is expensive, site-specific and slow to change. A site that needs to add a contractor for two days should not need a vendor call-out.

How we approached it

Put the recognition in the browser on ordinary hardware, with an installable PWA shell so the device works like an appliance. Speed is the whole brief: a match that takes three seconds creates a queue at the gate, so the pipeline is tuned for a decision fast enough to keep people walking.

Where it stands

A gate console that installs on a tablet, enrols in seconds and returns a visible, auditable decision.
