Zoofies interface — a wholesale and retail storefront with a real pricing engine behind it

Overview

A South African snack brand moved off a brochure site onto a full commerce platform: customer accounts, three wholesale price lists, per-account preferred product ranges, back-office order capture, live courier rating and card payment.

The problem

The business ran on a spreadsheet of thirty-seven wholesale accounts across three price lists, orders taken by phone, and a WordPress site that could not take a payment. Every price was a manual lookup and every order was a retyped invoice.

How we approached it

Model the pricing as an eight-step resolution order — account type, price list, preferred range, discount eligibility, stock, shipping band, threshold, tax — and enforce it inside the transaction so the same rules apply whether an order arrives from the storefront or a staff member capturing a phone call. Shipping quotes live from Shiplogic with weight-band fallback, so a carrier outage cannot stop a checkout.

Where it stands

A production storefront and back office with a sixty-case end-to-end test suite, zero accessibility violations across every screen, and a legacy import that brought the thirty-seven accounts across without inventing a single email address or balance.
